Lydia Valenzuela is the HR Coordinator and Accounting Assistant for Project ARRIBA, a workforce development program that provides opportunities for people to succeed, and has over 14 years of experience in the administration of various insurance benefits. In this position, she is responsible for employee fringe benefits, preparation of monthly reports and audit requests, and the review and approval of participant support services. Lydia has been with the program since 2005.
Lydia is currently the President of the Ysleta Band Booster Association and actively works with students to earn community service hours. She is also a member and volunteer at Abundant Living Faith Center.
Lydia has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a second Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso. Although she is not a native El Pasoan, she considers El Paso to be her home. Lydia is the wife of Jerry Valenzuela and the proud mother of daughters Geanie, Brenda, and Priscilla Faith, and her son, Jerry. She is also the proud grandmother of Isabella.
