What We Do Success Stories

Cesar Castro was approved for sponsorship in Fall 2005. While taking his basics and prerequisites at EPCC, Cesar aspired to join the LVN program. He ranked in June 2007 and started the LVN program at EPCC that fall. Cesar graduated from the LVN program in August 2008. He began working as an LVN but decided to continue his education. In 2014, Cesar earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, becoming a registered nurse. By 2018, he had received his master’s degree in nursing education.
Currently, Cesar works for Del Sol Medical Center as the Administrative Director for Acute Care Services.
I remember Cesar back in 2005, a young man full of dreams, hopes, and doubts. He always had a smile on his face, and we shared many enthusiastic laughs together. Over the years, Cesar has kept in touch and never forgets what Project ARRIBA did for him. He often reminds his case manager that “he would not be where he is if it weren’t for Project ARRIBA.
- Mimi Duran“You weren’t called to nursing because it’s easy – you were called because you’re strong enough to endure, smart enough to grow, and brave enough to care when it matters most.”
