What can you do in one day?
Christina, a single mother of four and a U.S. Army veteran, struggled to provide for her family. Fueled with a desire to improve her family’s quality of life, she applied and was accepted into the nursing program at the local junior college. However, like many in our community, she did not have the means to support her family and pay for a college education. With Project ARRIBA’s assistance, she graduated May 2014 as a Registered Nurse and was quickly hired by a local hospital. Christina is empowered with the education and skills needed to make a difference in our community, but more importantly, to better her family’s life.
Project ARRIBA is proud to be one of many diverse nonprofit organizations participating in the El Paso Give Campaign. El Paso Give is a 24-hour online charitable giving drive designed to bring attention to the work and worth of El Paso’s nonprofit sector and ignite the spirit of giving across our region. The inaugural El Paso Give will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
What can you do in one day?
Please consider partnering with Project ARRIBA and promoting workforce development efforts in our community. Your investment on November 15th will be leveraged with other funding and help us support hundreds of students in training at the local college and university. These jobs will lead to greater economic mobility for a population living in poverty, while meeting the needs of employers for skilled workers in this great region. You can help create opportunities for El Pasoans!
Please visit elpasogivingday.org to learn more about this special initiative and make your online donation on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
