Olivia Lucero-ValdezDirector of Accounting
In the Spring of 2018, Olivia Lucero joined Project ARRIBA as the organization’s Director of Accounting.
Prior to working with Project ARRIBA, Olivia worked as an auditor for a local public CPA firm where she gained expertise in not-for-profit organizations. Olivia has 120+ Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours in not-for-profit accounting. Olivia also plans on sitting for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in 2018.
Olivia holds a Master’s of Accountancy from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas. Olivia was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and lived in San Antonio for four years while earning her bachelor’s degree at UIW. While attending UIW, Olivia joined the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority where she spent many hours performing volunteer work for the San Antonio area community.
Olivia is the oldest child of three siblings. She and her family are members of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
