Professional Title: President of Southwest Community Development Hunt Companies

Justin Chapman is President of the Southwest Development Division of Hunt and has over 18 years of residential and commercial real estate experience. Mr. Chapman supervises a staff of real estate professionals, engineering consultants, land planners, landscape architects, and other development consultants on the acquisition, planning, entitlement, and construction of all Hunt’s residential communities in New Mexico and Texas. Mr. Chapman has developed thousands of lots and platted dozens of different subdivisions. Mr. Chapman is managing a current real estate development projects with project construction costs totaling $400,000,000 and is spearheading the planning, development and construction of two master planned communities in El Paso and one in Austin, Texas. These communities total +/-10,000 acres and +/-20,000 single family lots. Mr. Chapman started his real estate career as a corporate associate for an international law firm and represented domestic companies in connection with acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real estate. As a lawyer, Mr. Chapman also represented domestic and foreign companies in connection with public and private corporate finance transactions. His real estate law experience includes representing buyers and sellers of real estate (contract drafting, negotiation, project due diligence, title and survey review, preparation of closing documents and closing transactions). Before joining Hunt, Mr. Chapman was a development project manager for a national homebuilder and became the Development Vice President of a private Houston developer.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Political Science – The University of Texas at Austin Juris Doctorate – Baylor University School of Law

Industry & Community Involvement: Member of Board of Governors – El Paso Chamber of Commerce; Member Board of Directors of the Town of Horizon City Economic Development Corporation and serve as Chairman of the Board for the Rescue Mission of El Paso.
