Professional Title: President of Southwest Community Development | Hunt Companies
As President of the Southwest Community Development Division of the Hunt Companies, Mr. Chapman is responsible for the master planning, entitlement, development and subdivision and infrastructure construction on Hunt Communities property. Mr. Chapman supervises a staff of real estate professionals, engineering consultants, land planners, landscape architects, and other development consultants. Mr. Chapman supervises the acquisition, planning, entitlement, and construction of all of Hunt’s residential communities in El Paso and Las Cruces, NM.
Experience: Mr. Chapman started his real estate career as a corporate associate for a national law firm and represented domestic companies in connection with the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real estate. As a lawyer, Mr. Chapman also represented domestic and foreign companies in connection with public and private corporate finance transactions. His real estate law experience includes representing buyers and sellers of real estate (contract drafting, negotiation, project due diligence, title and survey review, preparation of closing documents and closing transactions). Before joining Hunt, Mr. Chapman was a development project manager for national homebuilder, Lennar Corporation and later was the Development Vice President of a private Houston developer. Mr. Chapman is overseeing current real estate development projects with total construction costs exceeding $100,000,000.
